For 12m and taller goal posts in any code (AFL, NRL or Rugby Union) we offer an optional upgrade to a hinging spigot base and ground sleeve setup.
This setup will allow the lowering of these tall goal posts by lying them over rather than a crane having to lift them vertically from the ground.
There are many methods use to lie tall poles over from a hinge and depending on the height some can be done with people power alone (walked down by a small number of people).
Anodising is an electrochemical process that thickens and toughens the naturally occurring protective oxide.
Appearance options and quality are improved through the use of dyes and special pretreatment procedures.
This can make the aluminum look like pewter, copper, brushed bronze or even keep its natural aluminium look all the while protecting it.
Just like the "Fixed Wheels" these wheels allow 1 person to wheel the PSG's the length of the pitch in relatve comfort.
However at some levels of the game the referee's have been known to take issue with the fixed wheels (as they sit on the line) for encroaching on the field of play.
Flip away wheels are able to be flipped clear of the field of play, then returned under the goals for movement.
A dedicated R&D project has seen these wheels become a popular favourite with many users.
Required for mounting flagpoles to existing or new concrete footings using hold down bolts

Utilising 65mm high density foam inside PVC covers and fixed with velcro tabs pads are an essential part of any goal post these days. Umpires flags are held in place by the velcro tabs.
Typically found at yacht clubs, military bases and homes of the rich and famous, a yardarm is a horizontal pole mounted on a standard flagpole so it resembles a cross. In this configuration it allows for flying multiple flags from the same pole but for protocol reasons it is not recommended for multiple national flags of different countries.
fancy building your own flagpole? This halyard kit for a basic 6m pole includes a finial with built in halyard sheave, halyard rope, cleat and a pair of flag clips.
Much the same as the 6-7m halyard winch, but bigger, and maybe prettier! Once again, it doesn't get any easier.
Not completeyly idiot proof, but about as close as it gets, this halyad winch has a removable handle that winds the flag up, and down. Raising a flag doesn't get much easier!
For use with internal halyards. This lead filled necklace is a counterweight to control the bottom corner of the flag and bring it to the ground when the halyard rope is released.
This is the cleat used for halyard ropes that run inside the flagpole and is concealed by various hatches and sliding cover. Made from cast aluminium it has no moving parts except a roller fairlead. The greater the laod on the halyard, the harder it grips the rope!
The traditional cleat around which the halyard rope is wrapped, used exclusively whith halyard ropes on the outside of the pole.
5mm natural white 8 plait paolyester rope is our prferred halyard rope. Sold by the metre, the ends should be heat sealed with a match to prevent unravelling. Flag clips can be tied or swaged or hitched in place. Don't forget to allow for enough rope to go p the pole, and down again, and wrap around the cleat!
flag clips, also known as sister clips are the preferred method of attaching flags to halyard ropes in Australia, and indeed, flags to flags if need be. UV stabilised Polycarbonate rather than metal as they are kinder on the pole and make less noise.
Ground sleeves are the traditional method of installing goal posts and many flagpoles. The pole slips into the ground sleeve and lifts out again for maintenance or the off season. With most sports you can install an extra ground sleeve and shift your goals sideways to spread the wear on the turf in the goal square.
Cross arm for rugby goals, please specify League or Union.
sleeved aluminium posts set in ground sleeves and fitted with tensioning rope, normally 2-3 per net.
standard white polypropelene net with 100mm square pattern. Normally used with net support posts at the rear.
This low profile, nylon net clip offers minimal opprotunity to catch clothing or harm players. The clip twists into the extrudued track on the aluminium cross bar and holds the net in place. Three opposing net clips used together in high load areas such as the corners will hold the net in place no matter how hard you kick the ball!
Galvanised M16 or M20 bolt, washer and nut arrangement for use with 10-12m flagpoles to bolt down flange bases. Must be set into a concrete footing that has been allowed to cure for a min of 72hrs.
Galvanised M16 bolt, washer and nut arrangement for use with 8-9m flagpoles to bolt down flange bases. Must be set into a concrete footing that has been allowed to cure for a min of 72hrs.
Utlises removable handle and separate halyard counterweight.
A flange base is essentially a plate on the bottom of the pole used to bolt the pole down to a concrete pad or deck. More expensive and more complex to install than a spigot base they are usefull when fixing the pole to an existing concrete pad, or you have several poles in a line and want to be able to plum them all exactly the same using jacking nuts under the plate. This can be a challenge when using spigot bases! Often the plate is placed under turf, garden mulch or a flash cover to hide the nuts and plate.
Makes a connection between the ground and the flagpole and reinforces the highly-loaded lower portion.
32mm satin-black aluminium shaft 2.4m long, fitted with silver spear tip and screws to attach flag.
It is possible to mount a flagpole on a vertical wall to save space, or get a flag up high for the price of a short pole! This is particularly usefull when trying to avoid piercing a roof with fasteners. A word of warning though, make sure the wall you fix the pole to is strong enough to withstand the loads. We recommend using chemical anchors rather than expanding anchors such as dyna bolts because flagpoles vibrate a lot and can work a dyna bolt style of anchor loose.
